Windhaus Associates, a privately owned, Port St. Lucie, FL marketing & business planning firm, was founded by Stephen Windhaus in 1999. The impetus for starting the firm came from many years serving entrepreneurs in small business development centers, a university, community colleges and small business incubators. Steve assisted thousands of small business owners and startups in Chicago and Florida, with workshops, seminars, conferences, business plan consulting and one-on-one counseling. In 1999 he returned to private practice. Steve focuses on developing outlines, drafting content, market research, operational assessment, startup costs and financial analysis with strong writing, organizational, creative and analytical skills with extensive attention to detail.

Myra Windhaus is a founding Principal of the firm. She is very disciplined, an outgrowth of many years teaching in public and private schools in Illinois and Florida, and successfully raising two daughters. Myra is responsible for project administration, including project timelines, accounts payable/receivable, budgets, asset management and communications. She is the firm's "sounding board" when decisions of company direction and investment are made.

Kerry Jacoby joined the firm as an Associate in 2000. A longstanding employee of the Small Business Development Center at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, Kerry is known in the firm as a true "devil's advocate". Specializing in financial analysis, he always seeks the weak links in the assumptions and projections, with the ultimate goal to deliver solid financial projections for the business plan.

Ndaba Mdhlongwa, our youngest, joined the firm as an Associate in 2001. A former NCAA track and field star in the Olympics, he served in small business development programs while earning his MBA at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ndaba also operates his own firm, Business Plan Solutions, out of Dallas Texas. He has very strong skills developing financial projections. More importantly, Ndaba is recognized as the "go-to" guy when client deadlines must be met. Ndaba has developed a spreadsheet application for developing financial projections that is used in this firm and a major business planning software application.

Today, Windhaus Associates provides its clients with over 56 collective years of experience in business planning and development. The firm has successfully assisted ventures of diverse business sectors. Local assistance is provided in south and central Florida and north central Texas, centering in the Dallas area.
